| Heart of the Redwoods Horse Rescue Community Education Series Horsemanship Clinics Heart of the Redwoods Horse Rescue is a California 501 (c) (3) nonprofit. Our mission is primarily rescuing abused, neglected, or unwanted horses, bringing them back to health, and then adopting them out to loving homes. "Ensuring quality care and treatment of horses through rehabilitation, humane education, and community outreach." The rescue also has a human education component to the mission that focuses on horse/human interactions and is currently reflected in the Horsemanship I and II clinics. These clinics focus on developing a relationship between humans and horses that comes from trust in each other and confidence in themselves.
